NEW YORK - The Metropolitan Opera will hire an all-black outside chorus next season for its first presentation in nearly three decades of the Gershwins 'Porgy and Bess,' which opens the season on Sept. The worldwide copyrights in the works of George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin for this presentation are licensed by the Gershwin family. For the first time in nearly 30 years, the production returns to the Met stage starring the stunning Eric Owens and Angel Blue in the title roles.
